The dream house you have been wanting to buy for a long time is just getting beyond your means, as interest rates are firming up and prices aren't cooling off yet. This has caused many home buyers to now settle for rented flats instead.
My wife and I started looking for homes in February of 2012. A year later we are still actively looking for a home. I believe home prices since then have easily risen about 15%. Just when we thought we could afford a home, prices have gone up. It's okay though, we can continue to rent. They say you'll see the house that's right for you after your hundredth house. My wife says we've only looked at 60 houses about. This house was pretty good. Great neighborhood, good size, low HOA. But it had two deal breakers. One was the street t-boned (very bad in asian culture/feng shui). The other was the layout of the house...
Jack worked really hard to save up a reserve, mainly to invest in the property market once the house prices drop. He heard that the house prices must drop during interest rate hikes, so he delayed his plan in order to wait for the interest rate hike cycle. Let's find out what are the real factors behind investing in housing market. First factor is economy. When there is an economic growth, the per capita income will rise and the unemployment rat...

Home prices gained 4.8% in San Diego county year-over-year from May 2014 to May 2015 which is double the rate of inflation meaning it will be more expensive to buy a home in 2016. Breaking news out of the Federal Reserve is more fuel on the fire since interest rates were left unchanged with the key rate near zero percent. No indication given about projected September increase in rates which is expected.
